Blended Malt Whisky is made from 'Multiple' Distilleries

‘Blended’ simply means that all the whiskies used to create a certain flavour profile all comes from multiple distilleries. Simply put; ‘Blended’ means a ‘Multiple  Distilleries’ whilst ‘Malt’ refer to the type of grain used in the production process and in the case of Blended Malts ‘Malt’ means it’s made from 100% Malted Barley.

Unlike Blended Whiskey, Blended Malt Whisky is a union of two or more Single Malts from diverse distilleries. Blended Whisky is a blend of both malts, corn and rye whiskies.
