Blended Whisky is made from 'Multiple' Distilleries

As the rule of thumb, any blend with more than 20% and up to 100% Whisky, is called a blended Whisky. You can mix any two Whiskies, preferably malt and grain to create a blend.

In a Blended Scotch Whisky, Malt and Grain Whiskies are fused. If a blended spirit contains more than half percent of the same Whisky, it is almost-always labelled after the same, such as in the case of Blended Bourbon.

Blended Whisky is made from a mix of Barley and Grains

Generally, distillers mix a premium malt or straight Whisky for the flavour with a cheaper base grain Whisky for creating the body. You can use straight, malt or grain Whisky to create blended brews.

Alcohol by Volume of Blended Whisky ranges from 40% to 80%. They are built on the palatable tastes of premium spirits to create a distinct character.
