Description and review by Daniel & Rex in the Whisk(e)y Vault
“70cl / 40.0% – The new 10 year old, all Sherry Tamdhu. Retro bottle. Very cool.”
Nose: the softness of vanilla and sugared almonds, balanced by fresh oak and cinammon.
Palate: Bursting with fruit and spice – gently yielding to toffee and the richness of sherry oak.
Finish: Fruit and vanilla linger, becoming pleasantly drying – finally unveiling the merest whisp of peat smoke.

IWSC Awards Tasting Note: Nose has a clarity of pureness that is hard to define. Honey, fresh cut grass, ripe stone fruits, lemon and orange with a rich, malty underpin. Moves easily into the mouth with a beautiful balance of bourbon and sherry wood. Hints of biscuit malt and brown sugar. Long, fruit filled finish.
