Description
The 4th edition of Jura tastival released for 2017 around the time of the Feis Ile on Islay.
Aged in Ex-American oak and finished in Port casks from the famous Graham’s Port house.
Nose: Floral and fragrant (roses and marshmallows) tinned strawberry, earthy liquorice, redcurrant jelly, parma ham, raspberry ripple ice cream, tawny port wood notes.
Palate: Stewed rhubarb, spicy cranberry, strawberry shortbread, red liquorice, distinct Tawnt port wood notes and red wine tannins, pomegranate juice, spicy stewed red plums and again that floral/rose note.
Finish: Crunchy red berries and earthy tannins, tawny port, red liquorice, redcurrant jelly, cured meats, peppery strawberry, long and fragrant floral notes.
A delicate yet complex offering for this years tastival release which have been some of the best and most interesting releases from this distillery.
Colour : Amber gold with flashes of mahogany
Nose : Black forest fruits, chewy liquorice, ripe plums and creamy white chocolate
Taste : Orange zest, walnut cake, glazed pineapple and crème de cassis
